We share a limited amount of information with X (Twitter) for advertising measurement, unless you opt out. The X Website Tag reports your IP address, user agent, the page you are on and the page you arrived from, along with the fact that a newsletter signup happened. We attach no email address and no other identifier to any of it. That tag is the only advertising technology on this site, and our servers send nothing to any ad network — there is no second, server-side half.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the equivalent laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Texas, passing information about your visit to an advertising network counts as selling or sharing it even when no money changes hands — which is what the paragraph above describes, and why this page exists rather than merely being kept on hand.

Opting out stops it at the source. The tag is not loaded on a later page, not loaded and then silenced — the script is never added to the page at all, so X is never contacted and there is nothing to send. The same preference applies in advance to any advertising technology we add later, so you do not have to come back and set it again.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out on its own. It is honoured automatically on your first request — you do not need to visit this page, interact with the cookie banner, or confirm anything.

This does not affect your access

We do not charge you a different price, withhold any feature, degrade the product, or show you a reminder for opting out. That is a legal requirement — the non-discrimination rule at CCPA § 1798.125 — and it is also simply how this is built: consent state is never consulted by anything that decides what you can see or do.
